Skims celebrities

Kim Kardashian’s iconic brand Skims has taken over when it comes to celebrity campaigns. No matter the season, if there is a celebrity gaining attention chances are the next thing you see them in is a Skims ad. From NBA stars to Podcasters the Shapewear brand is first to snag them up and add their names to the long list of Skims Celebrities.

Ms. Kardashian is no stranger to being a trending topic of discussion. Hints why she is always hitting the mark on all Skims’ ads that include celebrities. Whether the brand is using rising popstars during their peak like Tate McCrae and Sabrina Carpenter.

Or uniting iconic Angels of The Victoria’s Secret Runway. You can always count on being in the know on who's who when consuming the Brand’s ads.

The Wonderful World of Skims

Since the launch Skims has expanded to much more than Shapewear. Because, “Everybody’s wearing skims”.

From the moment Kim Kardashian entered the public eye, she’s been a dominant force in pop culture. With her influence tied to Skims, it’s no shock that the brand attracts an impressive lineup of celebrities to promote it.

This brand is no short of Kim’s infamous word “iconic”. When you think she has thought of it all, Skims is sure to launch something no one has ever done before. Take her “Nipple Bra” for example. A product so outrageous the one and only Kim Kardashian was the face of the campaign.

After all, she is the unofficial headliner of the Skims celebrities roster.

That campaign is one of many modeled by the founder and owner herself. Reminding everyone she doesn't even need the household names that she has landed in her campaigns.

All it takes is something out of the ordinary to gain traction and attention to your product, and Miss Kimberly is THAT girl when it comes down to it!

Her most recent viral moment was a string thong with its very own pubic hair on it. Yep, you read that right. Another product that keeps Skims in the headlines. Not to mention they sold out in 24 hours.

Spicy & Sporty in Skims

It was only a matter of time before the business mogul made her way into menswear. In 2023, Skims brought together the sexiest male celebrities to shoot the first campaign. Not to mention, the most talked about at the time. Neymar Jr, Nick Bosa, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had everyone drooling over the menswear announcement.

Following the Menswear campaign, the brand fully immersed itself into the sports world. Becoming the official underwear partner of the NBA, even further expanding the list of celebrities you’ve seen in Skims.

Getting athletes in campaigns expanded her consumers even more. Transforming from only women’s shapewear and undergarment to menswear and athleticwear. And they didn’t stop there.

For the brand’s latest dive into the sports world, a NIKE partnership launched in September of this year. Who better to launch the collection than 50 plus NIKE Athletes including Serena Williams, Jordan Chiles, and Sha’Carri Richardson.

With each new campaign and wave of Skims celebrities, the brand keeps skyrocketing into even more fashion subcategories.

SKIMS ‘It Girls’

Founded in 2019, Skims popped out with Kim K as the founder and face. Since then, the stars that have been in the campaigns to follow have been nothing short of A - list. And if they weren't before they surely were after.

In 2020, Addison Rae was the face of their one-year celebration. Paving the way for the campaigns that followed. Alongside, the rising TikToker (at the time), included influencers and celebrities Amelia Gray and Delilah Belle Hamline, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lala Anthony, Precious Lee, Rumer Willis, and Yovanna Ventura

Other notable Skims celebrities include Charli XCX, Alex Cooper, Ice Spice, Megan Fox, Kate Moss, and Paris Hilton. The Skims team is definitely working overtime to connect with the chosen “It Girl” of the month.

The celebrities that are chosen for each campaign people see, Skims, have their own original way of marketing to their audience along with finding the interest of others who may just be fans of the celebrities.

Timing is everything!

When it comes to the marketing of Skims, the timing of celebrity campaigns is unmatched. Since the launch of her brand Kim Kardashian has rallied more than half of Hollywood's finest.

From rising social media influencers to international actors. If there is a viral moment, you’re sure to see a Skims campaign to follow.

In the Winter of 2023, everyone was buzzing about the new season of Mike White’s White Lotus. Set in Italy, it quickly became one of the biggest shows of the year. So for the Skims Valentine’s Day Shop, it made perfect sense that two of the Italian stars joined the lineup of Skims celebrities fronting the campaign.

The way Skims handles their celebrity campaigns is unlike most brands. Instead of having the celebrities with the product saying “I love skims go buy it!”. They simply show themselves off and let the product do all the talking.

Mix in the element of virality and likeness of the celebrities chosen and you’ve got yourself a killer marketing strategy that Skims has discovered and mastered.

It’s Not Only About The Celebs

While Skims celebrity partnerships are helpful for the brand, they don’t have to rely on them and that’s what truly sets them apart. The inclusion of celebrities helps with relevance, but at the end of the day, it’s the brand’s authenticity and inclusivity that keep people coming back.

Skims is built on empowerment and diversity, offering a wide range of sizes and skin tones. At its core, Skims is rooted in making everyone feel confident and beautiful.

And that’s exactly why the presence of Skims celebrities only enhances (rather than defines) the brand. These high-profile faces spotlight the message, but the mission stands strong on its own.

By blending everyday customers with Skims celebrities across campaigns, the brand reinforces that its products were made for everyone, not just the people in the spotlight.
