Discover the Magic of The Summer I Turned Pretty Coach Collab
Sep 30, 2025
Welcome to Cousins Beach, a place where pomegranate margaritas, debutante balls, and love triangles thrive. The Summer I Turned Pretty has taken the world by storm, and whether you've never watched the show or are a diehard fan, there is no doubting the influence this show has had on women of all ages.
So, it is no wonder that Coach collaborated with the show, introducing purses, backpacks, and charms all inspired by the hit TV show with a collection called Summer In Bloom (and if you're book girlie, you probably appreciate this little callback). Let's just hope picking a bag is easier than picking a brother…
The Summer I Turned Pretty Coach collection features bags seen throughout the series, like the Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 and two backpacks, the Coachtopia Turnlock Backpack, and the Coachtopia Loop Backpack (both made especially for the collaboration with The Summer I Turned Pretty Coach).
The collection also included bag charms that ranged from daisies to seashells to peaches, which is safe to assume Team Conrad was appreciative of. The collection also showcased a cherry print, which may or may not have confirmed whose team they are on.
Belly’s New Wardrobe - The Perfect Transition Pieces
The Summer I Turned Pretty's main character, Belly, portrayed by Lola Tung, is seen sporting multiple bags from the collection throughout the show.
Whether running errands with her ex, fleeing the scene of what would have been her wedding, or discovering herself in Paris, Tung's character is seen rocking Coach throughout the season (she even chases down a thief who stole her Coachtopia backpack; this may have more to do with what was in the bag, but that's neither here nor there).
Everyone has heard of product placement, but Coach is subtly entering the world of The Summer I Turned Pretty by including pieces from their main line as well as Coachtopia, the label's sister brand, bringing in both the young and old generations that have come to love the show.
In a coming-of-age show like this, The Summer I Turned Pretty's Coach collaboration perfectly mirrors themes of youth, transformation, and self-discovery. Coach saw the importance of appealing to those who are just beginning to live life and those discovering who they might be when they step out into the world and take a chance.
In a statement, Coach said: "The collection features handy college essentials in the form of the Coach Turnlock backpack and Coachtopia Loop backpack, both perfect options for coping with studies, travel, and whatever else life throws at you."
Belly had a lot thrown at her this season, as does any young woman trying to navigate her 20s and discover who she is. The Summer I Turned Pretty Coach campaign was born out of this very idea, the idea of youth, transformation, and identity.
These qualities not only define the show but also align with the brand's evolving image and commitment to meeting women where they are.
Meet Summer’s New “It” Girl, Lola Tung
Move over Marissa Cooper and Naomi Clark, because Belly Conklin is the new summer "It" girl, and she played her role so well that it has personified into the life of the actress who plays her, Lola Tung.
So, people might feel like they've seen Lola Tung everywhere lately, and they probably have. Not only is she a brand ambassador for Coach on the regular, but she is the face of The Summer I Turned Pretty Coach campaign, along with partnering with American Eagle, Crocs, and working with numerous brands such as Gucci, Stella McCartney, and Dior.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is Lola's big break, and she is taking the world by storm. In addition to being the face of this campaign, Lola keeps it real behind the scenes and consistently points out how she and her character differ from one another, which can't hurt, considering how much passion the fans have towards these characters.
While promoting this campaign, Lola remained prominent on Coach's Instagram account, whether it be discussing pieces that were in an episode, talking up the product, or picking out her personal favorites. Both Coach and Lola promoted this campaign with a meaningful and genuine spirit to create something for the fans, and that speaks to why it has been so successful.
Since the show's inception, Lola has consistently kept it real, and being so young herself, her authenticity is inspiring to the young women who watch her on television every week.
During an interview Lola expressed that while she is getting ready to say goodbye to the world of The Summer I Turned Pretty, she is in no hurry to grow up and states "Don't rush it! We're 22. We can take our time", a simple, but meaningful message to young women out there who feel like they have to rush.
Is Coach Team Conrad?
As much as I would like to recruit as many Team Conrad members as I could, it is clear that Coach is Team Belly when it comes to this recurring whirlwind love triangle that The Summer I Turned Pretty has blessed our summers with over the past three years. And the collaboration speaks to that.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Coach collaboration gives young women the courage they need to walk into a male dominated major with their heads held high, an interview with confidence (and the assurance that the bag being sported on their shoulder will probably be complimented), and the self-assurance that they can study abroad (and maybe chase down a thief, though this is not recommened).
Summer’s Not Over Yet
After the most recent episode, the Coachtopia Loop Backpack is already sold out. Fans are seeing the durability and sustainability that Coachtopia has built its brand upon, after witnessing everything both the bag and Belly have been through.
However, summer is still in bloom, and there is still time to shop the collection. Coach outdid itself with this collaboration; they saw the show of the summer and the deeper meaning behind it, and with that in mind, they curated a collection that is perfect for young women getting ready to take on the world.
For those who still can't decide what to get, a tip from Lola Tung herself might provide some guidance.
