I joined the accelerator to broaden my skillset and really dive into different marketing roles while gaining real life experience.
Marketing is such a broad area that you could really go anywhere you want. The accelerator really helped me narrow down that path. After the accelerator, I felt a lot more confident in which marketing role I wanted to go into.
My favorite experience was creating a paid media ad for our marketing mockup and having full autonomy of the creative path. We were also able to see the metrics behind the ad as they were running live, which was really amazing to see.
What made the accelerator feel worth it to me is the fact that it's a community filled with wonderful, successful women coming together to essentially figure out their career, maybe even pivot their careers. So it was wonderful to see everyone coming together and working towards their goal.
There was never really a dull moment within the accelerator course, which I loved, and everything was tangible so you could use this as experience in your resume.

I applied to the Sky Society accelerator because I was feeling really stuck in the job application process and wanted to switch into the marketing industry.
Before the accelerator, I felt really stressed and was getting denied opportunities because of my limited marketing experience.
After the accelerator, I felt so much more confident and happy with the skillset that I was able to develop. I was able to make a portfolio that I was really excited to show people and really proud of.
I also was able to grow my community a lot more and truly enjoyed the community aspect of the program.
I would say Sky Society and the accelerator program was one of the best things I could have done for my career to this day.

I joined the accelerator to gain that firsthand experience that I was lacking and get a deeper education on the field.
I didn’t have enough relevant experience in order to get a job in marketing, but I knew it was something I wanted to pursue.
After the program, I felt so prepared for a marketing job. I felt like I knew about the industry and got a better sense of what exactly it was that I wanted to do in marketing.
My favorite experience was creating paid ads for a virtual event. I really got to see the behind the scenes of how it goes to set up a paid ad and think about the consumer first. It felt like the most realistic experience of my work having a direct impact.
Sky Society is so supportive and they want everyone to succeed. If you're struggling with something, they are there to support you and give you advice.
All you have to do is show up, be present, and do your best.

I felt lost. I had completed my marketing associate's degree and was working on my bachelor's and really didn't have any direction on where I wanted to go.
After doing the accelerator, I knew that I wanted to go into sports marketing. After finishing, I felt more of where my purpose laid in marketing.
What made the accelerator worth it to me is the community and the sense of belonging. It was the community and how Natalie and her teams show such amazing representation for women in the marketing industry and how they help build up other women and provide them with resources and really just build a strong foundation for getting hands on experience.
I was balancing the accelerator with being a mother of two, being a wife, being in school, and working full-time. It wasn’t hard to balance because the accelerator has the flexibility of doing self-paced.
I’m able to still reach out to the team via Slack, gather insight, and run things by people to get their opinions.
You get to meet such wonderful women who have such great missions, values, and overall love and community.
